My skin type is oily so I struggle finding a drugstore foundation that doesn't leave me looking shiny and in need of reapplying powder every 45 minutes. On the other hand, many mattefying drugstore foundations can leave my skin looking heavy and flat. With both outcomes just as undesirable as the other, finding the right formula requires many trials and a lot more patience. Luckily, Wet n Wild's Photo Focus foundation offers medium to full coverage, while still allowing my skin to look natural and dynamic. For application I use a moist beauty blender for more of an every day look, and reach for my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush when I want fuller coverage. However, if you happen to have oily skin like me, I do suggest wearing a mattefying primer underneath for longer wear. The word versatile comes to mind when I think of this foundation; it is natural enough to wear to the office, while also being buildable and long lasting enough to wear on a night out.
